  • Mr Roland Matthysen

    Non-Executive Director Mr Roland Matthysen

Roland has more than 40 years experience in industrial complexes including Steel, Mineral Processing and Petrochemical. During his career he has held various positions in Maintenance, Project Management and Engineering. The past 19 years he has been associated with Proconics when he established it as part of a MBO. As Managing Director of Proconics the Company grew from 20 Employees to over a hundred 12 years later at which point he became Chairman of the Board. On the completion of the B-BBEE partnership with Dlondlobala Capital, he now serves as a non-executive Director. The highlights of his tenor as MD were to establish Proconics as a specialist company integrating services with International Engineering Companies as part of their offering in the local market. Many of these relationships are still intact after 19 years. Integrating the electrical company purchased by Proconics was one of the biggest management challenges of his tenor but remains an essential growth opportunity. Establishing the Sasolburg office was another strategic move that today has become a significant contributor to the success of Proconics.
