Purpose

The IT Technician will be responsible for assisting the IT team in maintaining and co-administering our

company's IT systems. The candidate’s primary duties will include maintenance of computer and IT hardware, software, and other related systems and replacing faulty IT hardware components when necessary. The candidate will also be working closely with the users of our systems to identify potential issues and fix existing problems.

Requirements

  • Manage daily and on-going technical operations.

  • Assist IT technicians to oversee and maintain secure, efficient, and robust server and network

    architecture.

  • Assist IT technicians to oversee secure and cost-effective network applications and supervise and

    support Help Desk services to ensure effective and appropriate assistance.

  • Assist in managing disaster recovery/business continuity plan to ensure timely and cost-effective

    recovery of computers, telephone, and network.

  • Provide technical hardware and software support to all employees.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Working knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.

  • Working networking knowledge, LAN, WAN, IPSEC, TCP/IP.

  • Skilled in the use of Active directory.

  • Working knowledge of Azure.

  • Skilled in printer management.

  • Previous experience of AutoCAD and similar software advantageous.

  • MCSE/ MCSA will be of benefit.

  • A+, N+, CompTIA or similar IT courses.

Personal attributes

  • Understanding of IT infrastructure.

  • Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.

  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure devices, including wireless access

    points, Telephony, routers, switches, controllers.

  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet

    resources.

  • Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.

  • A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Dependable and flexible when necessary.

  • Valid driver’s licence and own transport.

  • It may be required of the candidate to travel between Proconics branch offices.
