Proconics recently donated much-needed groceries to the Nolwazi Day Care Centre in the Kriel community of Mpumalanga.
A refuge for vulnerable and orphaned kids, the Eskom-supported centre has been offering basic care, early childhood education, and daily meals to 90 children, many of whom come from families that are struggling financially, with some parents being low-income earners or even students themselves. The centre depends largely on donations and outside assistance to continue its essential operations.
Â
Recognising the crucial role that the daycare plays in the community, Eskom identified the centre as a deserving recipient of community development support.
Â
The Proconics delegation, led by Project Manager Johan Rheeder, who oversees Eskom Kriel Power Station's Kriel Essential Panels project, donated the necessary food supplies to ensure the children get the attention and wholesome meals they require all year long.
Â
In addition, the committed educators received branded Proconics gifts as a token of appreciation for their hard work and steadfast dedication to developing the next generation of community leaders.
Â
The proactive interaction between the daycare's educators and learners confirmed the organisation's dedication to giving back to the areas in which we operate and helping to build a better future for the coming generation.
