Signed on Sunday the 23rd of June, this project is set to contribute 300MW to reducing load shedding and improving the sustainability of South Africa’s power supply.
Â
This project, scheduled to commence on the 30th of June 2024, underscores the recognition of Proconics in the market as experts in energy infrastructure. It signifies a major step forward for Proconics’ efforts to build the necessary infrastructure for the just energy transition.
Â
This ambitious endeavour includes constructing a 400/132kV 500MVA Main Transmission Substation (MTS) and related infrastructure including an access road and 400kV overhead lines.
Â
The project is already employing locals in roles such as general workers, drone pilots, and administration clerks and will create further opportunities within the local community. Local businesses in civil works, ablution services, diesel supply, and security services are poised to benefit from our commitment to sourcing goods and services locally.
Â
Our goal is to improve socioeconomic conditions and assist community infrastructure by allocating one million rands for Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programmes.
