Wellness Committee

Proconics Group’s Wellness team recently embarked on a two-day wellness initiative to visit employees stationed at the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sites in Paleisheuwel and Graafwater.

The primary goal of the trip was to gain firsthand insights into the experiences of the project teams while reinforcing the company’s commitment to their well-being.

On the first day, the wellness team hosted an open dialogue session over dinner. Team members candidly shared their experiences on the project, including the challenges of working remotely, managing stress, and combating fatigue.

Their resilience and dedication were acknowledged with personalised "BESS Champions" mugs, a nod to their contributions to the Better, Easier, Safer, Smarter project goals.

Project Manager, Estiaan van den Heever, expressed gratitude for the wellness committee’s visit, emphasising the team's unwavering commitment despite the project's complexities.

The following day, the wellness team divided their time between the two sites. In Graafwater, they observed the team’s strong safety protocols and work ethic. At Paleisheuwel, they received a comprehensive site induction to understand the team's daily operations.

Beyond formal discussions, the wellness team prioritised personal connections, engaging in one-on-one conversations with each team member.

This visit underscores the Group’s dedication to supporting the well-being of its employees, especially those working remotely on challenging projects.
