Secunda Wellness Days: Mind, Body, and Soul Revitalised at Proconics and ProGO
Last week, Secunda came alive with energy as our Proconics and ProGO teams took part in their Annual Wellness Days, an event led by the Wellness Committee in a continued effort to promote a balanced approach to well-being. Held on Thursday for Proconics and Friday for ProGO, this year’s Wellness Days offered a vibrant lineup of activities, encouraging employees to embrace a healthy lifestyle focused on the harmony of mind, body, and soul.
The event was a collaboration with trusted partners Mediclinic, OneStop Wellness, and Grip & Rip Fitness, ensuring a holistic approach to health. The programmes were kicked off with insightful presentations on occupational health and a spiritual talk, setting the tone for a well-rounded experience focused on all aspects of wellness. Following these sessions, employees were invited to explore various activities at their own pace.
Mediclinic conducted health risk screenings, providing employees with personal assessments and guidance on managing their health. For those looking to get active, lively Zumba sessions injected rhythm and movement into the day, allowing employees to experience the joy of physical activity.
To support mental and emotional wellness, meditation sessions offered a tranquil space for employees to de-stress and connect with their inner selves. For a fun and interactive twist, smoothie bike rides allowed participants to blend up their own healthy smoothies while pedalling, adding a playful touch to the fitness-focused activities.
This annual initiative by the Wellness Committee underscores the organisation’s commitment to supporting employees’ well-being and promoting wellness on multiple levels: mind, body, and soul.
