Passive Fire Protection Handbook Launch hosted by PYRO-COTE
In a recent show of commitment to industry excellence, the Proconics' Cape Town team recently attended Pyro-Cote Cape’s Passive Fire Protection (PFP) Handbook launch that was held at the Fireman's Arms in Cape Town.
PFP is a type of fire safety provision that is dormant during normal conditions but becomes active in a fire situation. This book, the first of its kind in South Africa, offers PFP solutions compliant with SANS 10400 as well as thorough guidance on the concepts, procedures, and applications of PFP. It also includes research from knowledgeable and experienced top professionals in the area on a wide range of issues.
"The book launch was a significant knowledge base and information-sharing platform for Proconics. It also enabled effective networking and demonstrated the organization's strong interest in working with Pyro-Cote to implement PFP strategies to clients."
The Proconics team included Rhigardt Nolte, Western Cape General Manager; Bevin Ullbricht, the Health, Safety and Environment Manager; Lindokuhle Nsele, Assistant Electrical Engineer; Calvin Johnson, Mechanical Engineer and Letlhogonolo Tenela, the Fire Safety Technologist.
The highlight of the evening was not only the enriching exchange of insights but also an unexpected turn of events with a raffle competition offering the tantalizing prize of a brand-new Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Ullbricht emerged as the fortunate winner. His victory, however, almost slipped through the cracks as he was engrossed in networking and the captivating Champions League game playing on the big screen.
His win added a surreal touch to the event, and he shared his excitement, saying, "It was a thrilling moment. Winning the Harley Davidson not only added excitement to the evening but underscored the good fortune of being part of the Proconics team."
“Participation in events of this nature aligns seamlessly with Proconics' commitment to staying at the forefront of industry knowledge and standards. The insights gained from the Passive Fire Protection Handbook launch will undoubtedly fortify Proconics' expertise, fostering growth and success in the region and beyond. As the company continues to leverage this momentum, the future looks promising for Proconics and its dedicated team.”
